Herpetology, the scientific study of reptiles and amphibians ("herps"), has been an interest of mine since the 1960s. I'm particularly interested in herps as wildlife - what they are and how they live in the wild, as opposed to those in the pet trade.  (I have kept my share, for better or for worse, in captivity.)
